The Indian Herbs preparation for the winters chill , offered to Shree Thakurji in the month of Margshirsh ekam. It is a expensive and a very hot sweet…means must be consumed in very little portions…. everyday during mangala offer Shree Thakurji small GOLI / small ball till the complete month followed by Almond Halwa / Badam no Siro.

Ingredients

 

  • 500 gms mawa (khoya)
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • 100 gms almonds chopped
  • 100 gms pistachio chopped
  • 1 tbsp. cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp. nutmeg powder masala
  • 20 gms sunth powder (dry ginger)
  • 5 gms piprimul powder
  • 5 gms pepper powder
  • 5 gms tamalpatra powder (bay leaves)
  • 5 gms clove powder
  • 5 gms cinnamon powder
  • 5 gms lindipiper powder

Preparation Method

  • Break the Mawa with hand. Make thick syrup , heating water with sugar. Add the Mawa and the ingredients. Keep stirring on the low flame till the mixture thickens.Pour the mixture on a greased plate / thali. Allow to set and cut into pieces.

 

  • In the winters offer everyday little portion of Sonth to dearest Thakurji …to keep him warm in the chilly winters.
