Dr. Future's Weekly Predictions 26th Feb - 3rd Mar 2012
Ahmedabad ISKCON Vachanamrut Excerpts - Day 8
Parmaatma jeev matra ki Manokaamna Purna karte hain.
[God fulfils all desires of the Soul.]
Jab tak jeev Nirvaasn nahi hota, tab tak Mukti nahi.
Sadvaasna bhi Vighna karte hain.
[As long as the Soul doesn’t drop all Seeds of Desire/Subtle Desires, Liberation isn’t possible.
Even the Good Desires pose Obstacles in the path to Liberty.]
Har Karm ki Chhap Man main Rah jaati hai.
[Every Action leaves its Mark on the Mind.]
Jeev aisa sankalp kare ki Ishwar ke Atirikt Mera aur koi Nahi hai.
[Every Soul must Establish/Resolve that apart from God, there is None that is mine.]
Aaj mera Antim din hai, aisa soch kar Jeevan jeena chahiye.
[One should live Life as if it was our Last day Today.]
Asad Vaasna ho to Sankalp Ashuddh hota hai.
[If there is Impure Desire (Asad vaasna), the Resolution (Sankalp) too will be Impure.]
Susangati karo. Pratham asang ho. Man se Sansaar hatao. Phir sudhaar karo. Bhajan karo.
[Engage in good company. First, remove yourself from all Company; Remove the World from your Mind. Then, Improve yourself. Do Bhajan, i.e. attach your Mind to God. ]
Kalyug main Manav ke saath Sadbhaav ho yah Man ka Tap hai.
[In Kalyug, having Goodwill for all is a Penance/Discipline of the Mind]
Meetbhaashi aur Satyabhaashi ho to Jeebh shudh hoti hai.“Jitam rase sarva-jitam”
[Friendly & truthful speaking helps purify the tongue.“Jitam rase sarva-jitam” – Winning over the Tongue implies winning over everything.]
Murti Sewa – Saral.
Jeev maatra ki sewa – Adhik Uttam.
Pratipal Indriyon se Parmaatma ko Anubhav karna – Sabse Uttam prakaar ki Bhakti hai.
[Idol worship is relatively Easy.
Serving any living being is Better.
But, Feeling God every moment through your senses is the Best kind of Devotion.]
Jagat ko yaad karne se Man Chanchal hota hai.
[Remembering the World makes the Mind restless.]
Jo pratipal Parmaatma ko yaad rakhta hai, uska
1) Swabhav – Madhavam;
2) Vani – Madhurya;
3) Man – Saundarya
hota hai.
[Those who remember God every moment – their
1) Nature becomes Soft/Likeable/Warm/Welcoming;
2) Voice becomes Sweet;
3) Mind becomes Beautiful.]
Hum Bhagwaan ko yaad karein – yah Bhakti hai. Yah Sadhu karta hai.
Bhagwaan humko yaad karein, yah Bhakti ki Siddhi ha. Yah Sant hai.
[When we remember God – this is Devotion. This, a pious person (Sadhu) does.
When God remembers us – this is the achievement of Devotion. This happens with a True Saint (Sant).]
‘Ras Panchaadhyaay’ – Shrimad Bhagwat ke Panch Praan hai.
[‘Ras Panchaadhyaay’ is the ‘Panch Praan’, or the five life-forces of Shrimad Bhagwatam.]
Shridhar Swami kehte hain ki jo Sansaar ke bandhan se chhutkaara dilaaye vahi Ras Panchaadhyaayi hai.
[Shridhar Swami says, that which liberates from the bondage of the World is called ‘Ras Panchaadhaayi’]
Ras Leela Sanyaas Leela hai, Kaam Viraam Leela hai.
[‘Ras Leela’ is the Act (Leela) of Renunciation, i.e. of the termination of all Desires.]
Ras Panchaadhyaayi jeev ko Niravaasan karti hai.
[Ras Panchaadhyaayi frees the Soul from the bondage of all Desires.}
Jab tak Dehaadhyaas hai tab tak Ras Panchaadhyaayo samajh main nahi aati hai.
[As long as there is existence at the level of the Body, ‘Ras Panchaadhyaayi’ cannot be understood.]
Mein aur Mera, Tum aur Tumhaara jab tak hai - tab tak tum Maya ke aadheen ho, Mayapati ke aadheen nahi.
[As long as there is ‘I & Mine’ & ‘You & Yours’, you are subservient to Maya (Delusion), not to the Lord of Maya (i.e. God)]
Tum pehle swabhaav ko komal banaao. Jiske Man main Bhagwaan hai, uske Man se Apshabd nahi nikal sakta. Man Sundar hota hai yadi tum Parmaatma ko yaad karo.
[First, improve your Nature. Those who have God in their Minds cannot utter expletives, or bitter/vitriolic words. Mind becomes Beautiful if you remember God.]
Tumhaare Hruday ke andar Antaryaami satat nirantar viraajmaan hain. Ve tumhaari Gati, Rati aur Mati jaante hain.
[Antaryaami (i.e. The All Knowing/Omniscient) exists in your Heart always & continuously. He knows your Gati (Direction/Pace), Rati (Nature/Character) & Mati (Intelligence/Intellect)]
Ichha manav ko baandh ke rakhti hai. Jab tak kuch chaahiye tab tak Ashaanti hai Man main.
[Desires bind Man down. As long as you want something, there is no Peace in the Mind.]
Ras Leela main,
[In Ras Leela, there are]:
1) Leela Madhuri;
[Sweetness of Pastimes/Activities]
2) Venu Madhuri;
[Sweetness of Venu/Flute]
3) Rup Madhuri;
[Sweetness of Beautiful Form]
4) Ras Madhuri;
[Sweetness of Taste.]
5) Vihaar Madhuri;
[Sweetness of Cloister]
6) Virah Madhuri.
[Sweetness of Separation.]
Us RAS rup main uplakshan aaye hain, jaise Leela, Rup, Virah aadi RAS rup.
Parmaatma swayam RAS rup hain.
[That ‘RAS’ (sweetness) has been endowed with many sub-features, like ‘Leela’ (Pastimes), Rup (Beautiful Form), Virah (Separation), etc.
God Himself is “Sweetness.’]
“Prathamah Chakshuraagah” – Vedanta.
Parmaatma sarvapratham Aankh ke maadhyam se aate hain.
[God enters first & foremost through the Eyes.]
Parmaatma Natwar Vapu hain.
[God is the Supreme (Vapu) Actor/Artiste (Natwar).]
Sangeet ke 3 swaroop hain:
[There are 3 forms of Music]:
1) Gaayan [Singing],
2) Vaadan [Playing],
3) Nritya [ Playing].
Parmaatma ki Leela Sangeet hain, Venu Sangeet hain, Nritya (Kaliya Daman) Sangeet hai.
[God’s Activities/Pastimes (Leela) is Music, Playing of the Flute (Venu) is Music & Dance (upon the hood of Kaliya) is Music.]
Indriyon ka Nigrah karke Daman karo to hi Ras main Pravesh milega. Anyatha nahi.
[Control the Senses & Chasten them. Only then can you gain entry in ‘Ras’, else not.]
Jiska man chanchal hai unhe pehle aankh par Niyantran rakhna hoga. Paap ka prarambh vahin se hota hai – jab jagat sundar lagta hai.
[Those whose Minds are restless, must keep control/vigil on their Eyes. Sin starts from there only – when the World appears Beautiful.]
Ras Panchaadhyaayi main ek Sukshma Asur hai – Virahaasur.
Virah Bhakton se ek kshan nahi sahi jaati.
[in ‘Ras Panchaadhyaayi’, there is a subtle Demon (Asur) – Virahaasur.
Virah (Separation) can’t be borne/ tolerated by the Devotees even for a moment.]
Prem ke Lakshan:
[Characteristics of Love]:
1. Prem main Rosh hota hai.
[In Love, there is Ire (of annoyance) (‘Rosh’)]
2. Premi ke liye samay nikaalta hai.
[The Lover takes out time for his Beloved.]
3. Premi-Pritam main Abhimaan nahi hota.
[There is no Ego between the Lover & the Beloved.]
4. Premi hamesha Asha rakhte hain ki Pritam milega.
[A Lover always hopes that he will get his Beloved.]
5. Pritam ke Naam ka ratan karte hain.
[The Lover keeps repeating the Name of the Beloved.]
6. Pritam ka Gun-gaan gaata hai.
[The Lover sings praises of his Beloved.]
7. Premi pritam ke Dhaam par Aasakti rakhte hain.
[The Lover is always attached to the dwelling place (‘Dham’) of the Beloved.]
Jiske jeevan main 16-anna Vairaagya aaye – matlab Vishayon ki Asafalta.
To hi Ras main pravesh milta hai. Anyatha nahi.
[If one becomes cent-percent Dispassionate in life – it means the Failure of Sensory Allurements, i.e. Loss of interest in Sense-Objects (‘Vishay’). Only then can one gain entry into ‘Ras’, else not.]
Vishay saamne aaye to tum apne man main bhajan badhaao. Apne Madan ka Daman karo.
[If the Sense-Objects come before you, increase your Remembrance of the Lord (Bhajan).
Keep your Desires (Madan) on a Leash (Daman).]
Vaasna Vighna karta hai. Traas karta hai. Ye jeev ko behaal kar deti hai. Jeetna ho to Vaasna ko jeeto.
[Vaasna (Subtle Desires) pose obstacles in the path. It creates immense Nuisance (‘Traas’). It totally dismays the soul. If you want to overcome something, overcome the Vaasnas (Subtle Desires).]
Parmaatma ke saakshaatkar ke liye jeev tadap raha hai Ras main.
[The soul is deeply yearning to See (Have a Sight/View/Darshan of) God in ‘Ras’.]
Radha Rani Yogmaaya hain. Bina Yogmaaya ke Leela sambhav nahi hai.
[Radha Rani is Yogmaaya. Without Yogmaaya, Leela (or, The Lord’s activities) are not possible.]
Raas ke samay Akash main 16 kalaaon ka Chandrama hai. Chandrama ka prakash Sheetalta pradaan kar raha hai.
Parmaatma jeev maatra ko bula rahe hain.
[During ‘Ras’, there is the Full Moon in the Sky, consisting of all 16 parts. The Moon-light is offering a Coolness/Freshness (Sheetalta).
The Lord is beckoning all the Souls.]
Gopiyon ke Man ke andar Chitta main Chein nahi, Chitta main Pram hai.
[The Gopis’ Minds are not filled with Peace, but Love.]
Ma = Maya [Delusion]
Dhav = Pati [Lord]
Madhav = Maya-pati [Lord of Delusion = God]
Bhakt Bhagwaan ka varnan nahi karte, apni Vaani se Parmaatma ki Puja karte hain.
[Devotees don’t describe God. They worship God through their words/voices.]
Gopiyon ke Prakaar:
[Types of Gopis]:
Dev-rupa
Ved-rupa
Rushi-rupa
Swayam-sidhha
Kuchh log janm se hi swayam sidhh hain – bahut kathin hai.
[Some people are born enlightened/ with attainments – this is extremely difficult.]
5. Saadhan-sidhha
Kuchh janm ke baad saadhan karte hain.
[Some follow the Spiritual path after taking birth.]
Pareeksha bagair Parmaatma kisi ko apnaate nahi.
[God does not adopt anyone without a Test.]
Jeev Maan ka bhukha hai. Parmaatma Maan dete hain. Shishtaachaar koi parmaatma se seekhe.
[The soul is Hungry for Respect; And God gives Respect. Etiquette must be learnt from God, if anyone.]
“Jehi bidhi Prabhu Prasann Man hoyi, Karunaavtaar kijiye soi.”
[Oh God, please do whatever pleases You.]
Maanav ko Raat ko har roz apne din ka kaarya likhna chahiye - Kitna diya Parmaatma aur
Prakriti ko aur kitna Liya hai. Dharti, Baadal, pure Jagat ka Karz tum par hai. Tumne kya kiya hai?
[Each night, one should note down one’s activities of the day – about How much has one taken from God/Nature and how much given. You are under the debt of the Earth, the Clouds, of the entire World. What have you done (in return)? ]
Tum Shrimad Bhagwat ka path roz karo. Isme itni achhi cheezen hai ki Jeevan sudhar jaayega.
[You must read the Shrimad Bhagwatam daily. It has so many good things that your Life will improve.]
Parmaatma Gopiyon se puchhte hain ki Tum kyon aaye ho?
Gopiyaan kehti hain ki hum main koi Vaasna nahi hai. ham keval Tumhaare Charan-Raj ka Ashray lene aaye hain.
[The Lord asks the Gopis their Reason for coming to Him.
The Gopis say that they do not have any Desire. They have come just to take Shelter in the Holy Dust of the Lord’s Feet.]
Jeev ki pareeksha ke baad Parmaatma unhe Apnaate hain.
[After testing the Soul, God adopts it.]
Jise khub Maan mile – unka Abhimaan badhta hai.
[Those who get too much respect, become more Egoistic.]
Sansaar main ek vastu mile to dusri bhi leni padegi. Maan mile to Apmaan bhi lena hi padega.
[If you get one thing in Life, you will have to take the other too. If you get Respect, you have to take Insults too.]
Jagat ko manaana nahi. Jagdeesh ko hi manaa sakte ho tum.
[Don’t try to please the World. You can manage to please God only.]
Leela vahi jisme se bodh milta hai.
[That is ‘Leela’ which educates & enlightens.]
Sadhu ko kabhi ek dusre se Dwesh nahi karna chaahiye, Kabhi bhi nahi.
[Pious people/Seekers/Devotees should never begrudge each other. Never.]
Gopiyon main Saatvik Ahankaar aaya to Parmaatma Antardhyaan ho gaye.
Drishti main Dosh aaye to Parmaatma dikhta nahi.
[Gopis had a Slight Ego surge, so The Lord disappeared.
If the Vision gets blemished, God can’t be seen.]
Parmaatma krupa karein to Jeev Durgunon se Mukt ho.
[Only with God’s grace can a Soul be freed of its Vices (Durgun).]
Parmaatma krupa karein to Jeev ko Parmaatma ka Darshan milta hai.
[Only with God’s grace can a Soul be Blessed with a Vision of God (Darshan).]
Gopiyon ka Anand Krushna aashrit hai.
[The Gopis’ Happiness is dependent/incumbent on Krushna.]
Apna Anand hamesha swatantra rakho.
[Always keep your Happiness Independent.]
Man main keval Parmaatma ko rakho. Sansaar ka Anand ek udhaar hai. Aatm-nishth Anand hi uchit hai. Aatm-Ram Aatm-Kaam ho jaao to tumhaara Sukh koi nahi chhen sakta.
[Keep only God in your Mind. The Happiness of the World is a Debt. Self-reliant Happiness only is worthwhile. If you withdraw your Desires & Converge all tendencies into yourself, no one can take away your Happiness.]
Jisme Paagalpan aaye, uski Kriya vichitra ho jaati hai.
[One in whom Madness occurs, His actions/tasks become Unique.]
Bhagwaan ka Viyog bade se bada Rog hai.
[Separation from God is the Biggest Disease of all.]
Gopi = Radha.
Parmaatma ka Avirat Araadhan jo kare – vahi Gopi, vahi Radha.
[One who worships/remembers God constantly, is Gopi, & is Radha.]
Praarthna ka ek arth hai – Naya Jeevan.
[One meaning of Prayer is – a New Life.]
Tum vahaan raho jahaan tumhaara Man shaant rahe.
[You must Stay there where you Mind is at Peace.]
Parmaatma ko yaad karne ka koi Samay/Kaal nahi hota. Ye to swayam Kaal ke Mahakaal hain.
[There is no Specific Time to Remember God. He is the Master of Time itself.]
Yam = Yamraja.
Una = Chhoti. [Younger]
Yamuna = Yamraja ki chhoti behen.
[Yamuna = Yamraja’s (God of Death’s) younger Sister.]
Purushaarth ke baad Praarthna aati hai, aur honi chaahiye.
[After Effort comes Prayer, & should too.]
Praarthna karna Jeev ka Adhikaar hai. Pura karna Bhagwaan ka Adhikaar hai.
[Praying is the Soul’s Right. Acceding to it is within God’s Right.]
31ve Adhyaay main Parmaatma ke saath Vaani se ekta hui hai.
[In the 31st Chapter, the Soul has become One/Unified with God through Voice (Vaani).]

[In the 32nd Chapter, the Soul is Unified with God through the Heart.]
33ve Adhyaay main Jeev ‘Aham Brahmaasmi’ tak pahuch gaya.
[In the 33rd Chapter, the Soul has reached the State of ‘Aham Brahmasmi’, I.e. it has Completely Identified itself with God.]
31va Adhyaay, Geet hai – Udgeet hai.
[The 31st Chapter is a Song – a Spontaneous Song.]
Geet vo hota hai jiski pehle se taiyaari ki hui ho.
Udgeet vah hai jiski koi taiyaari nahi, yah to Sahaj Hruday se prakat hota hai.
[‘Geet’ is a Song that is prepared in advance while ‘Udgeet’ is a Song that appears Spontaneously.]
Gopi ka sab kuchh Udgeet hai, Geet nahi.
[All Utterances/Songs of the Gopis are Spontaneous (Udgeet), not Prepared (Geet).]
Jab gaao to keval Parmaatma ko Prasann karne ke liye gaao, Jagat ke liye nahi.
[When you Sing, Sing only to please God, not the World.]
Gopiyaan kahein – Hamein kuchh nahi chaahiye. Hamein keval Tumhaare Darshan ka Daan do.
[The Gopis say - We want Nothing. Only give us the boon of your Divine Vision (Darshan)]
Bhagwaan se agar kuchh Maango to Unki Alpaayini Bhakti Maango.
[If you ask anything of God, ask for His Divine Devotion (‘Alpaayini Bhakti’) only.]
Bhul karna Kharaab nahi hai, Par bhul ko na sudhaarna yah Bhul hai.
[It’s not bad to make a Mistake. But not rectifying those mistakes is the Real Mistake.]
Koi jo ek baarAchha ya Bura Kaam kare yo Jeevan-bhar vah Achha ya Bura kaam karega, aisa koi Sidhhant nahi hai.
[There is no such Principle which states that Once, if a person does Good/Bad, He/She will do the same Good/Bad for the rest of His/Her life.]
Tumhaare main Deen bhaav hona chaahiye.
[You must have an attitude of Smallness/Inadequacy (before God).]
Bhagwaan ki Aankh bahut Sundar hai.
[God’s Eyes are very Beautiful.]
Jisko Bhagwaan apni Aankh de – vah Bahut Badi Baat hai.
[If God gives His Eyes to Someone, i.e If God cares to Look (with His Eyes) at Someone – it is a very Big Boon for that Person.]
Hey Bhagwan, in Aankho se Tum Hum par Kataaksh Moksh karo.
[O God, Please care to Grace us with these Beautiful Eyes of Yours.]
Suratnath – Jeev ki Manokaamna Purna karne waala.
[Suratnath – One who fulfills all Desires of the Soul.]
Jeev vyavhaar karna jaanta hai. Parmaatma hi Prem karma jaante hain.
[The Soul only knows How to practically engage (with God). But, Only God truly knows How to Love.]
“Shulk Daasika.”
Gopiya kehti hain ki ‘Hey Bhagwan, Hamaari koi Kimat nahi hai.’
[The Gopis say, ‘O God, we have no Worth at all.’]
Premi unko kaha jaata hai jo Pritam ko bhulaata nahi.
[Only those are called Lovers who don’t forget their Beloved.]
Samjhe bagair kisi ko Pasand na karo.
Aur Samjhe bagair kisi par Gussa bhi na karo.
[Without Understanding, Do Not Like anyone.
And Without Understanding, Do Not get Angry with Anyone too.]
Prem ko Hruday main Gupt rakho.
[Keep your Love a secret in your Heart.]
‘Har pehlu main ek Dil hota hai,
Har Dil main ek Awaaz hoti hai,
Munkin nahi ki Har Koi Taj Mahal banaye,
Par har ek Dil main ek Mumtaz hoti hai.’
[No translation offered ]
Tumhaare Mukh se Shabd nahi yah Amrit nikal raha hai Tumhaare Mukh se. Yah hamaare Kaano ko Shuddh karti hai.
[(To God) Not Words but Nectar is pouring out of your Mouth. It Purifies our Ears.]
Hey Bhagwan, Tumhaari Virahgni hamaare Praan le rahi hai. ParTumhaari Katha hi Hamein
Jeevit rakhe hue hai.
[O God, the Fire of Separation from You is taking away our Lives. But, it’s only Your Katha that is keeping us Alive.]
Parmaatma tumhaare Puja ka pyaasi nahi hai, tumhaare Prem ka Pyaasi hai.
[God is not Thirsty for your Worship, He is Thirsty for your Love.]
Vishayaagni, Daavaagni, Lobhaagni aadi se tapt jeevan ko Parmaatma ki Katha Amrit pradaan karti hai.
[The Lord’s Katha (Story/Descriptions) provides Soothing Nectar to the Life heated by the Fires of Sense-objects/Sensory Allurments (Vishayaagni), of Anger (Daavaagni), of Greed (Lobhaagni), etc.]

[The feeling of Smallness/Inadequacy before the Lord is the only Means (of Spiritual Upliftment) available for Devotees in Kal-Yug.]
Jab tak Bhakti Siddh nahi hoti tab tak Pratima saamne hai.
Jab Bhakti Sidhh hoti hai – tab Swaroop Saamne hai.
[As long as Devotion has not Matured (Siddh), the Idol (Pratima) must stand before you.
When Devotion has Matured, the Mental image (Swaroop) stands before you.]
Akrur – arthaat jisme koi Krurta nahi hai.
